After the March devastations I knew I wanted to be able to give back to the community by hosting a fundraiser event!
I approached the Mullumbimby Ex-Services Club who came straight on board to be the fundraiser's major sponsor. We chose the Mullumbimby Neighbourhood Centre to host the fundraiser for, who were so appreciative and came to support the night and had a fabulous time!
Teaming up with Hit That Hit Music Bingo and DJ Beaver of The BayFm Discotheque series to bring you an unforgettable 80’s themed party!
We all donated our time for a very worthy cause raising $2200 for the non for profit organisation.
Music bingo was really enjoyable with the two categories relating back to the 80's with a paper airplane competition in between with the used music bingo cards which really got the crowd enthusiastic!
Then DJ Beaver lit up the dance floor with an epic 80's vibe after a raffle and the best dressed prizes were awarded!
The balloon arch from Bang Bang Balloons that are 100% biodegradable made the perfect photo opportunity and the decorations just set the theme in the venue space.
With 160 tickets sold we reached the capacity that table allocation was required to fill the venue space. Behind the scenes there were mud maps being drawn, table allocation spreadsheets and numerous emails being sent to ensure everyone was being seated with the correct group and friends.
Many people that attended were flood victims themselves so the night brought them joy and happiness.
